Cautions in Use of High Temperature Vacuum Tube Furnace
There are many things we should pay attention to in the use of vacuum tube furnace because of its great loss in use. Here is a brief introduction of some matters needing attention in the use of vacuum tube furnace.
Vacuum Tube Furnace
1. After the vacuum tube furnace is first used or not used for a long time, it should be baked at 120 C for 1 hour and at 300 C for 2 hours to avoid cracking in the furnace. The furnace temperature should not exceed the rated temperature to avoid damaging heating elements and lining. It is forbidden to pour liquids and dissolved metals directly into the furnace to keep the furnace clean.
2. After using high temperature vacuum tube furnace for a period of time, if the vacuum degree decreases, the temperature-resistant silicone rubber rings between stainless steel flanges can be replaced or the stainless steel flanges can be re-installed or the vacuum system can be replaced to improve the overall vacuum degree of the system.
3. When using the cold furnace, because the furnace is cold and needs a lot of heat absorption, the heating rate in the low temperature section is not too fast, and the difference of heating rate among different temperature sections is not too big. When setting the heating rate, the physical and chemical properties of the sintered materials should be fully considered so as to avoid the phenomenon of spraying material and pollution of the furnace tube.
4. If quartz tube is used in furnace, when the temperature is higher than 1000 C, the high temperature part of quartz tube will appear opaque phenomenon, which is called impermeability (also known as crystallinity), which is an inherent defect of fused quartz tube and is a normal phenomenon.
5. Check regularly whether the electrical connection of the temperature control system is in good contact, and pay special attention to whether the connection of each connection point of the heating element is tight.
